David King and Sam Edmund have named their top four seeds following Round 17 of the 2024 AFL season.
Kind typically ranks his four teams with Gerard Whateley, but with the SEN host away, Sam Edmund stepped in alongside the North great to rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward.
See their seedings below:
KING
1 – Sydney
“You can’t deny the Swans they have been the best team all year.
“They have been beaten by Logan McDonald not being able to convert.”
2 – Carlton
“Carlton at two.
“A little setback on the weekend, but hardly a trend.
“They played pretty well for the first 30 minutes and then just fell asleep.”
3 – Brisbane
“I’ve got Brisbane.
“Lachie Neale could be ready for another Brownlow medal.
“They’re playing really good footy, particularly with the ball, very aggressive, free flowing, high scoring and their clearance game is in pure working order.”
4 – Fremantle
“At four I’ve got the Fremantle football club.
“I could have had them higher, but I’ve got them at four.
“They’re really making a run and Hayden Young is going to really make a charge at their best and fairest this year.”
EDMUND
1 – Sydney
“We’re aligned.
“We’ve both got Sydney at one.
“They had more scoring shots against Fremantle last week and eight more scoring shots against the Saints.”
2 – Carlton
“They won six of seven before the loss to the Giants.
“So I’ve got them at two.”
3 – Brisbane
“I’ve got Brisbane at three.
“I just think one game off a top-four spot. They’ve got 20 more per cent on Essendon.
“They’re a game and a half off the Blues in a home qualifying final. They’ve won their last five and six of their last seven.
“They are coming with an absolute bullet.”
4 – Fremantle
“I’ve got them at four as well.
“I think they’re there on merit. I don’t think you can ignore what they’re putting out there.
“The 11-goal loss to the Dogs is the outlier but the form I reckon stacks up, they’re hard to beat.”
