David King and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 16 of the 2024 AFL season.
King and Whateley typically rank four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
After Dermott Brereton filled in last week, King and Whateley returned to the hot seat.
See their seedings below:
KING
1 – Sydney
“Sydney at one,” said King on SEN’s Whateley.
“They lost, but only just.”
2 – Carlton
“Carlton are still at two.
“They’re showing signs of being capable of going all the way.
“But they’re building and building and looking terrific.
“They’ve got one wildcard called Elijah Hollands that could just separate a final for them.”
3 – Fremantle
“Fremantle is back in.
“They had a little absence. But a win like that has to be recognised, they’ve got significant assets.
“The two rucks look like it’s working and going to work despite some negative feedback, and I like their ball movement when it’s fast.”
4 – Western Bulldogs
“Four is the Doggies.
“Stick fat with the Dogs. They’re coming and they’ve got the game that can upset the top two.”
WHATELEY
1 – Carlton
2 – Sydney
“Sydney are at two,” said Whateley.
“I made the pre-emptive strike last week, I moved Carlton to one and I’m on good terms with myself.”
3 – Brisbane
“Brisbane are at three for me.
“They’re inside the eight for the first time.”
4 – Hawthorn
“I’ve got the Hawks at four.
“They’re just better than most.”
