King Charles, Prince William strips Charlotte, Louis major role in future

Prince William is all for his father King Charles’ plans for a slimmed-down monarchy, leading to big implications on the future of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Writing for the Daily Mail, royal author Richard Eden reflected on this year’s Trooping the Colour, which saw Kate Middleton return to the public eye after months of speculations about her health following her cancer diagnosis.

At the end of the event, the Princess of Wales, alongside William and their three kids gathered together with the King, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and her husband Tim Lawrence and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh at the balcony to watch RAF fly past.

According to the royal commentator, the sight was a far cry from the late Queen Elizabeth II, who drew strength from her family until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decide to step down as working royals and her favourite son Prince Andrew’s shady association with Jeffrey Epstein was exposed.

A friend of the future King spoke to the outlet, noting he is “full agreement” with his father about the need for a “slimmed-down monarchy.”

“When the older members of the family retire, His Royal Highness won’t be inviting anyone else to become working royals,” he claimed.

“It remains to be seen if he will even want his two younger children to be working royals.”

It is pertinent to note that the current working royals in the family are the King, Queen Camilla, William, Kate, the Edinburghs, and Anne.

Hence, Charles’ decision casts doubt over Charlotte and Louis’ participation in the crown after the current working royals are forced to retire due to their age.

Rest assured, William is not sweating it, as the friend said: “That is what William wants. He sees the small European monarchies as the model for the future.”
