Lady Louise Windsor has made a surprise royal outing today as she is joining King Charles and Princess Kate for a historic day.

The 20-year-old took a break from her studies at the University of St Andrews to join the monarch for Trooping the Colour outside Buckingham Palace.

Louise joined her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh to celebrate the monarch’s official birthday.

She donned the same beautiful dress that she wore to King Charles’s Coronation in May 2023.

The £1,290 dress is still available to purchase from Suzannah London.

The white and blue floral dress is made from pure silk and inspired by a 1970s style.

Lady Louise is not a working member of the Royal Family, however, she often attends large gatherings like Trooping the Colour.

She did not attend the ceremony in 2023 due to her studies at the University of St Andrews.

GB News’s Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker noted it was “significant” Louise was present as the 20-year-old is not a working royal.

The King’s niece has been praised for her poised behaviour at royal events, with many commentators suggesting she would make a great addition to the Firm.

Prince Edward’s daughter is unlikely to take up royal duties, however, as her mother previously opened up about her desire for her children to work for a living.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh told The Times: “We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living.

“Hence we made the decision not to use HRH titles.

“They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but I think it’s highly unlikely.”
