Lenovo has launched its Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 portfolio of Intel-based servers designed to handle AI and enterprise workloads.
The servers feature Intel Xeon 6 processors and are “optimised for rack density and massive transactional data,” Lenovo said, claiming the portfolio offers four times more cores per rack and 4.3 times increased performance compared to the previous portfolio.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SD520 V4 server provides “up to 225 percent more cores” in a 2U chassis and “three times more storage” than the previous version.
Meanwhile, the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR630 V4 provides “up to 42 percent faster media transcoding” and “up to two times application bandwidth improvement” compared to devices featuring 4th Gen Intel Xeon processors.
Lenovo said the ThinkSystem “are fortified against increasingly sophisticated security threats and support the highest levels of business continuity, including NIST SP800-193 Platform Firmware Resiliency.”
The vendor also claimed “AI-powered code inspection for firmware and the latest compliance standards increase security.”
Lenovo Neptune Liquid-cooling technology is also available for the new servers, which “helps meet the high performance demanded by AI while lowering power consumption up to 40 percent,” the company said.
“Lenovo and Intel have a long history of innovation, transforming data centers with hybrid cloud and edge technologies,” said Sumir Bhatia, president of Lenovo ISG AP.
“We’re excited to launch the Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 with Intel, designed to make AI accessible, equitable, and inclusive at every stage of development and application.”
“This next-gen infrastructure embodies our vision of ‘Smarter AI for All,’ offering unmatched performance and accessibility to help businesses leverage hybrid AI infrastructure and maximise data value.”
Lenovo has also introduced Lenovo AI Advisory and Professional Services to help businesses “accelerate success with AI adoption,” the vendor said.
“AI has evolved into a transformative force, with 51 percent of ASEAN organisations seeing it as a game changer and 43 percent as essential,” stated Kumar Mitra, MD and regional GM for central Asia Pacific (CAP) and Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) at Lenovo ISG.
“As CAP businesses scale AI, Lenovo leads with our ThinkSystem V4 portfolio, offering unparalleled rack density and storage. Combined with our Neptune Liquid-cooling technology, we set a new standard with superior performance, enhanced processing power, and reduced energy consumption.”
