MADISON, Ala. (WAFF) – Levi Randolph got his start on the hardwood at Bob Jones. Now, he’s a professional basketball player overseas, but this afternoon he hosted a youth camp back home in his community.
This year was the third year in a row Randolph brought the camp to the floor at Bob Jones high school. It was an opportunity for kids to get pointers from the pros and learn life lessons outside of basketball, acting as an example for what’s possible for those campers too.
“A lot of the guys that are here, came from here, grew up here, they learned from guys like us, before us,” said Randolph, “We just wanted to continue that and give them a chance to see some faces that they may not have seen, or they may have seen. We want to make it into an annual thing give everybody something to look forward to every summer.”
The day was capped off with a celebrity basketball game that featured former Alabama Crimson Tide and other professional players.
