What a difference a day made for Mexico’s Abraham Ancer at LIV Golf Nashville.
Ancer, 33, surged to the front in the first round after a flawless round of 7-under 64.
Fast forward 24 hours, and Ancer was signing for a dismal 4-over 75.
It sent him from solo first to T27.

Ancer bogeyed the 8th and 9th and then folllowed it up with a double on the 12th to send him tumbling down the board and out of contention.
On one of the holes during his round, Ancer’s frustrations boiled over as he tomahawked his fairway wood some 50 yards in front of him.

Ancer bogeyed the 17th but then made his sole birdie of the round at the par-5 18th.
He now looks on from 10 shots off the lead, which is currently held by England’s Tyrrell Hatton.
Ancer has chalked up four top-10 finishes in the first eight LIV Golf League events of 2024, highlighted by landing his first LIV Golf title in Hong Kong in March.
He has not been eligible to compete in any of the season’s first three majors.
Hatton, who birdied six of his final seven holes on day two, is looking to land his first LIV Golf title in Nashville.
He holds a three-shot lead over John Catlin, who is acting as a replacement for Charles Howell III on Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC.
DeChambeau is also in the hunt fresh off landing his second US Open title last weekend.
The big-hitting American is just four back in T3 alongside $600m lead signing Jon Rahm.
