The Blues worst fears have been confirmed, with Latrell Mitchell a chance to miss the rest of the season with a Lisfranc injury.
Mitchell suffered the injury in the Rabbitohs’ win over the Eels on Thursday night.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Mitchell will see a specialist on Tuesday tohoping to avoid season-ending surgery. Even if he avoids surgery, he’s still facing at least a month on the sidelines.
“Apparently he thought he might have broken his foot,” SMH reporter Michael Chammas said on Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.
“They strapped it up, and unfortunately after the game, they had some scans and it showed that lisfranc injury.”
It’s a similar injury to the one that’s kept Knights gun Kalyn Ponga off the park for the past 11 weeks.
