Locked in: Fifita out, Fa’asuamaleaui in for Warriors clash

Must read

Titans star Jojo Fifita has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash against the Warriors with the flu, forcing an outside back reshuffle on Gold Coast’s right edge.

Jacob Alick-Wiencke joins the starting side in the centres, pushing Phil Sami to the wing in the only change made by coach Des Hasler ahead of the trans-Tasman showdown.

With the remainder of the side as per program, Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui will make his first NRL appearance of 2024 from the bench, having started the season in the Hostplus Cup with nine games for the Tweed Seagulls.

David Fifita is also a confirmed starter after missing last week’s game against the Tigers.

Ken Maumalo and Jaylan De Groot join Jojo Fifita as the three players cut from the extended squad 24 hours out, as the Titans aim to make it back-to-back wins against the Warriors after defeating them on Anzac Day.

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast.
