Lost star Jorge Garcia was seen stepping out in Los Angeles to run errands – in his first public sighting in over three years.
DailyMail.com spotted the reclusive actor, 51, casually dressed in a blue striped sweatshirt, grey pants, a bandana over his head and white sunglasses.
He keeps an extremely low profile these days, opting for a quiet life in the suburbs with his actress wife Rebecca Birdsall, who he married in 2019 after six years of dating.
For his outing this week, Nebraska-born Garcia was seen getting out of his black SUV, putting on a backpack and carrying what appeared to be a black speaker.
Garcia made his name starring as likeable character Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes in Lost, alongside co-stars including Evangeline Lilly, Matthew Fox and Naveen Andrews.
His plus-size, curly-haired lottery winner character stole the hearts of millions who watched at home.
The show, which ran from 2004 to 2010, was a global hit that followed the fate of plane crash survivors who had to fend for themselves when their vessel crashed onto a deserted island 1,000 miles from civilization.
This September will mark the 20th anniversary of its debut episode.
Garcia has been laying low since leaving the CBS show Hawaii Five-0 back in 2019.
The last time the actor made a red carpet appearance was celebrating the 50th anniversary of the series and the premiere of Magnum P.I. at Queen’s Surf Beach on September 16, 2018 in Waikiki, Hawaii.
He typically enjoys a quiet life with wife Rebecca, who he met on the Five-O set .
The thespian has hit headlines throughout his career over his yo-yo dieting, once admitting that he had been encouraged to try to lose weight for health reasons.
Garcia reportedly lost almost 100lbs from his 400lb frame at one stage thanks to a strict diet and workout plan.
There were further reports that he lost weight by following the Nooch diet, which is powered by deactivated yeast, and eating lots of spinach, other vegetables, and protein.
In a March 2006 issue of Maxim, he divulged that he had lost 30 pounds, after sparking health concerns due to his size.
‘I can afford to not live on rum and burritos and take better care of myself,’ Garcia told the magazine. ‘Besides, there were enough people who were waiting for my character to lose weight as a result of being stranded on a desert island.’
