Man found dead in Brighton apartment sparks homicide investigation

Homicide Squad detectives investigating the mysterious death of a man discovered with fatal injuries in a Brighton apartment on Friday night. 

A man will face court today, after being charged with 13 offences in the State’s Illawarra.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in a Brighton apartment on Friday night.

Police responded to an incident on Foote Street, where a man was discovered with injuries at around 8:30 pm.

Emergency services performed CPR, but the man, who has not yet been formally identified, died at the scene.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Police report he is cooperating with their investigation.

The man’s cause of death is still undetermined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
