Margot Robbie spends ’24 hours a day’ with her husband Tom Ackerley

Margot Robbie‘s producing partner and husband of seven years, Tom Ackerley, revealed they spend ’24 hours a day’ together in a rare joint interview.

‘It’s seamless,’ the 34-year-old Englishman described to The Sunday Times.

‘We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.’

The Australian bombshell – turning 34 next week – originally met Ackerley in 2013 when he was working as third AD on the Belgium set of her 2017 Lifetime movie – Suite Française – and they began dating in 2014.

That same year, Margot and Tom co-founded their production company LuckyChap Entertainment with friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr, and it has amassed 25 Academy Award nominations and 18 BAFTA nominations over the past decade.

The Boston Strangler producer – who began his career as an extra in the Harry Potter films – said he ‘feels like an honorary Aussie’ and ‘Margot feels like an honorary Brit’ despite the inseparable couple arguing over ‘whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better.’

Last week, Robbie and Ackerley launched their latest baby – the Australian gin company Papa Salt – at the Harvey Nichols department store in London.

‘Movies are a crazy business where you are selling something that isn’t tangible, it’s an idea. You have no idea how much it’s going to make, who’s going to see it, if they’ll see it or how it will be received,’ the Barbie producer-star explained.

‘This feels a lot more straightforward, it’s easier to predict things. You can lay this out on a spreadsheet in a way that you can’t lay out a movie idea. Our passions are movies and drinks, and now we’ve ticked them both.’

Josey McNamara, Charlie Maas, and Regan Riskas are also investors in Margot and Tom’s new booze brand.

Audiences can next catch Robbie and Ackerley producing Megan Park’s shroom-fueled trippy comedy My Old A** – hitting limited US theaters September 13 – which stars Aubrey Plaza, Maisy Stella, and Maddie Ziegler.

The producing pair are also overseeing Molly Smith Metzler’s Netflix limited series Sirens, which is based on her play Elemeno Pea about ‘women, power, and class.’

LuckyChap Entertainment – which scored a first-look deal with Warner Bros. in February – will also reportedly produce Olivia Wilde’s superhero flick Avengelyne, Katie Herron’s dramedy based on the Electronic Arts video game The Sims, and Tim Story’s film based on the Hasbro board game Monopoly.

Acting-wise, Margot will portray Sarah in Kogonda’s drama A Big Bold Beautiful Journey co-starring Colin Farrell.
