Maroons Into Aussie Squads | Queensland Cricket

Must read

Queenslanders Xavier Bartlett and Marnus Labuschagne will use Australia’s tour of Scotland and England in September to press their claims for more white ball exposure this summer.

Bartlett and fellow Brisbane Heat pace bowlier Spencer Johnson will spread their wings as part of the Australian T20 squad set-up for the tour in September.

The duo, members of the Heat BBL championship team at the start of the year, were named today in a new-look national squad ahead of a series of white ball matches in England and Scotland.

The two quicks played for Australia against the West Indies at the end of last season, after Bartlett finished as the leading wicket-taker in the KFC Big Bash League and Johnson was named player of the match in the Final.

Heat and Queensland batter Marnus Labuschagne will also be on the tour, named in the One Day International squad that will play five ODIs against England.

Australia plays three T20 Internationals against Scotland and England, followed by five One-Day Internationals against England in the UK in September.
