Marvel Rivals, the upcoming hero shooter from NetEase Games, is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Previously announced for PC, Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 free-to-play PvP game with 19 characters.
In addition to the console announcement, a closed beta will be taking place on all platforms in July 2024.
Announced during State of Play 2024, Marvel Rivals is an anticipated multiplayer game that we’ve covered extensively here on IGN. It also ran into a bit of criticism when a contract stipulation prevented influencers from criticizing the game.
Nevertheless, it’s drawn plenty of attention for its promise of ever-changing battlefields and its roster, which includes characters from Spider-Man to Doctor Doom. New characters announced during the event include Venom and Adam Warlock.
Marvel Rivals was one of several announcements at Thursday’s State of Play, which also included a fresh look at Silent Hill 2 remake, Monster Hunter Wilds, and more. You can read about everything announced right here.
