RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WSAV) — Recent Richmond Hill graduate Mikiyah Matthews put pen to paper to make her commitment official. She will play next season at Augusta University, which is part of Div. II’s Peach Belt Conference.
Matthews grew up around basketball. In fact, she started playing when she was four years old. She graduated last year with the class of 2024 after playing four years at the varsity level. In that time, she scored over 1,000 points for the Lady Wildcats. Friends, family, former teammates, and coaches all came to Richmond Hill to watch the signing, and wish her the best of luck at the next stage of her career.
Matthews says she hopes her commitment will help encourage other students at Richmond Hill to pursue their dreams to play at the next level, too.
