BOSTON — The NBA Finals are upon us.
The Celtics and Mavericks took different paths to get here but each team is now four wins away from an NBA title — and basketball immortality.
Boston is back in the Finals for the second time in three seasons, and the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will look to use lessons learned in 2022 to finish the job in 2024. For Dallas, it’s the first NBA Finals trip since 2011, and Western Conference Finals MVP Luka Doncic will lean on the championship experience of backcourt mate Kyrie Irving.
There will be plenty of storylines to follow throughout the series, but the most intriguing is each team’s pursuit of four more wins. It all begins when they go head-to-head in Game 1.
