Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Jack Duncan for the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The 31-year-old joins the Club on a one-year deal, signing on until the end of the 2024/25 A-League Men’s season from Wellington Phoenix.
Duncan has made over 100 appearances in the league, playing the lionshare of his career at Newcastle Jets and representing his country at youth international level. The experienced shot-stopper has also spent time in Europe with Randers FC and in the Middle East with Al-Qadsiah before returning to the A-League with Wellington Phoenix.
Melbourne Victory Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo said Duncan will be a welcome addition to the Club’s goalkeeping stocks.
“We’re pleased to welcome Jack to the squad for the upcoming season,” Kisnorbo said.
“Jack is a well established goalkeeper in the league who’s attitude and character will compliment our squad.
“We want Jack to be competing for the number one jersey and we believe he has the attributes to be able to push the goalkeepers in our first team to achieve this.”
Duncan was also excited to be joining the squad.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Melbourne Victory,” Duncan said.
“Victory is always a Club that wants to be competing for silverware and I’m looking forward to helping the team and the Club achieve this.
“I’m looking forward to working with Patrick and the coaching staff to get the best out of me this season and I’m excited for the challenge ahead.”
Duncan joins Josh Rawlins, Jing Reec and Reno Piscopo as the Club’s latest additions for the 2024/25 A-League Men’s season as the side returns to pre-season training on Wednesday 10 July.
