NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Belmont men’s golf team announces the addition of transfer Foster Wood for the 2024-25 season.

Wood comes to Belmont after a successful four years playing at Rhodes College in Memphis.  While competing for the Lynx, he earned Southern Athletic Association All-Conference honors three times and was the SAA Championship Runn-Up in 2023.

Last season as a senior, he carded a 72.8 scoring average and had eight top-20 finishes, including a season-best third place finish at the Rhodes Cochran Classic.

“Foster is a great addition to our program,” said Daniel DeLuca, Belmont’s Head Coach.  “”The combination of his talent, his experience of success both as an individual and as a part of a team at Rhodes, and his leadership qualities make him a great fit for Belmont and our program.”

During the 2023-24 season, the Bruins played in 11 events, won three team titles, which is tied for the most by a Belmont squad in the Division I era (2004-05, 2015-16), had a total of eight top-five finishes, and posted the lowest team scoring average in program history, 287.1.
