Mick Gannon’s Saturday best and value bets at Randwick, Flemington & Ipswich (22/06)

Must read

Racing at Randwick, Flemington & Ipswich on Saturday is the focus this weekend.

Check out Mick Gannon’s best and value bets below.

Best Bet

Randwick
Race 3, No.11 – November Falls ($3.40)

Fast becoming the bridesmaid of Midway racing, this mare trained by rising star Mitch Beer will be very hard to beat on Saturday.

She rises 1kg in weight to 55kg, but gains the services of Australia’s best jockey in James McDonald.

The mile is of no concern, nor is the rain affected track and from the wide draw, J-Mac has plenty of time to come across and have her in a nice rhythm.

Two gutsy Kiwis combining looks the perfect formula for success at Randwick on Saturday.

Value Bet

Randwick
Race 2, No.4 – Space Age ($17)

This import for the Maher stable gets his chance third-up and out to the mile for the first time this prep.

Her best efforts have come on soft going, so getting back to a slightly firmer footing than her last two starts is in her favour, as is the 3kg claim for Molly Bourke.

He raced in the inferior going last start and is sure to derive plenty of improvement off the run.

I think he has a big run in him this prep and at the price, I’m happy to bet.

Around The Grounds

Ipswich
Race 2, No.8 – Chassagne ($3.50)

Ipswich
Race 8, No.7 – Wategos ($2.45)

Flemington
Race 6, No.8 – Windstorm ($6.50)
