Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced she is pregnant with her first baby via a YouTube video on July 9 only three months after her divorce from her now ex-husband Ryan Scott Anderson.
Blanchard was released from prison 6-months ago and has already found herself in a new relationship with boyfriend Ken Urker.
On Tuesday along with the YouTube video, Blanchard shared an Instagram post to her 288 thousand followers writing “We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025💗.”
Blanchard added: “announcement video on YouTube (link in bio) Thank you to the photographer @m0therofchaos for the amazing photos.”
The post included 5 photos of the happy couple looking very smitten. holding an ultrasound photo.
The 32-year-old shared in her YouTube video that she is currently 11 weeks pregnant and that it “was not planned at all..”
“It was completely unexpected but we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.”
Blanchard revealed that she has had orange juice cravings, mood swings and tiredness but thankfully no morning sickness.
“So far, pregnancy has been a breeze as far as symptoms, I find the tiredness is starting to wear off a little bit. That was the biggest symptom that I had.”
“The baby looks healthy, happy. I know it’s still going to be a long journey ahead but I’m up for it,” she added.
Blanchard became a controversial media personality when she pleaded guilty to second-degree murder after plotting to have “Dee Dee” Blanchard killed.
Her husband at the time Mr Anderson was charged with first-degree murder in a very public trial.
Blanchard is also extremely viral on TikTok and is constantly sharing her life with the public on social media which is why she addressed critics in her pregnancy announcement video.
“I know that there are going to be people that feel like I’m not ready to be a mother.”
“I don’t know if anyone’s really ready to become a mother. I don’t know anybody that said, ‘OK, I’m ready. I’m doing this.’ I think, in my experience, everybody that I’ve ever talked to, they’re like, it just happened.”
Blanchard mentioned her late mother saying “all the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby.”
“Knowing that I am a mother now and I’m happy and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”
Blanchard said: “I found my freedom in a way that I never expected and I’m OK with that.”
“Everything that has ever happened to me in my life suddenly doesn’t matter because it all led me to be who I am today and it all led me to this moment right here, right now and that’s a blessing to say that I made it.”
“That’s a success story,” Blanchard added.
