Mystery Aston Martin Valour spin-off could be hard-core track weapon – carsales.com.au

Aston Martin has teased a new sports car based on the wild twin-turbo V12 Aston Martin Valour ahead of its official reveal on June 26.

Posted with the caption “the sublime x the ridiculous”, no other details have been released regarding to the mystery model, but it will clearly be based on the limited-run Aston Martin Valour introduced last year.

It could turn out to be an extreme track-focused version of the Valour featuring weight-saving carbon-fibre parts, a new big aero and even more power from the twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12, which currently musters 526kW and 753Nm of torque.

Alternatively, Aston’s designers may have blended the Valour’s 1980s Vantage styling with a new convertible dubbed Valour Volante.

If it’s the latter, expect a substantial redesigning of the rear half of the car to help accommodate a folding retractable canvas roof.

Like the coupe, expect the latest derivative to come with a six-speed manual transmission.

Just 110 Valour coupes will be built, with the entire production run selling out in just two weeks – despite a towering price tag of around £1-1.5 million ($A1.9-2.9m).
