LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Local product and 2023-24 NAIA All-American Erin Toller has joined the Bellarmine University women’s basketball team, Knights coach Chancellor Dugan announced Wednesday.

A 5-foot-7 guard, Toller began her college career at the University of Kentucky before playing the last two seasons at NAIA Georgetown (Ky.) College, where she was named a third-team All-American in 2023-24. The Louisville native was an All-State performer in high school at Sacred Heart Academy and will have two years of eligibility at Bellarmine.

“Erin is a great scorer who played her prep ball at Sacred Heart, so I got the opportunity to watch her firsthand and see how she’s developed,” Dugan said. “Since being in college, she has improved all of her skills.”

In two seasons at Georgetown College, Toller averaged 14.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists while sinking 147 3-pointers and shooting 37.1 percent from long range. She averaged 15.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists while drilling 68 3-pointers her first year with the Tigers and averaged 13.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists while amassing 79 3-pointers behind a 39.1 percent clip from deep last season.

In addition to her All-America laurel, Toller was a two-time first-team Mid-South Conference All-Conference selection. She led Georgetown to back-to-back appearances in the second round of the NAIA Tournament punctuated by a 25-7 finish last season.

“I chose Bellarmine because of its family-oriented environment, and I knew the coaching staff would push me,” Toller said. “I hope to bring wins and positivity to the team.”

Toller has rejoined forces with Bellarmine veteran guard Ashlee Harris after the two played together at Sacred Heart. She overcame significant injuries in the middle portion of her high school career to pile up over 1,000 points.

As a senior, Toller was named first-team All-State by the Lexington Herald-Leader after averaging 16.4 points and 5.7 rebounds while nailing 84 3-pointers and leading the Valkyries to a 32-3 record and appearance in the KHSAA Sweet 16. Toller was a 2020 McDonald’s All-American Game nominee.
