Cairns Taipans Next Star Bobi Klintman has been selected with pick 37 at the 2024 NBA Draft.
Klintman has been among draft experts’ mock drafts across the entire season, and will live his NBA dream at the Detroit Pistons, following a reported trade of picks with Minnesota.
Klintman averaged 9.7 points and 4.8 rebounds with the Taipans across NBL24, with a 24-point, seven-rebound haul against Perth in December his standout performance.
The Swedish-born 21-year-old follows Alex Sarr and AJ Johnson in being drafted from this year’s Next Stars group.
