The Utah Jazz have been in the midst of a rebuild ever since trading Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2022. From those two trades, Utah has received nine players, seven first round picks, and three first round pick swaps. Two years later and Utah has another opportunity to get an unprecedented haul for one of its players.
For Utah, they have been near the bottom of the West for the last two seasons and with their best player in his prime, there is no time like now to recoup a historic amount of value for him. We just saw the New York Knicks trade five first round picks for Mikal Bridges and the Jazz can assuredly fetch that much value, if not more for their best player.
That leads us to a three team trade proposal with the Golden State Warriors, who are aggressively pursuing Markkanen, and the Memphis Grizzlies, who are in need of a big man.
