Netflix is set to disappear from dozens of Sony television models next week, all of them over a decade old.
The streaming service will also disappear from a number of Apple TV devices.
The change to Sony televisions will come into effect from July 24, affecting 37 Sony BRAVIA television models in Asia Pacific region — including Australia.

“The Netflix app will no longer be supported on certain 2014 BRAVIA televisions from July 24, 2024,” Sony said in May.
The app will continue to work until this date, Sony said.
However, Netflix can still be streamed on the affected models using a supported television streaming device, such a Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick.
While Apple TV streaming devices can currently be used to stream Netflix, from next month not all models of the device will be able to do so.
From July 31, Netflix will no longer be available on Apple TV second and third generation devices.
Customers should contact Netflix for more information.
