Prince Harry is reportedly experiencing “deep regrets” over one controversial topic he discussed in his best-selling memoir Spare that could haunt the Duke of Sussex for years to come.
Broadcaster Dee Dee Dunleavy has hit out at a Welsh artist’s painting of Prince Harry.
Dan Llywelyn Hall produced ten portraits for a new London exhibition, with Prince Harry depicted as Charles Edward Stuart.
“He looks like a smashed pumpkin,” Ms Dunleavy told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
Harry, 39, admitted to previously using a long list of illicit substances in his book, including marijuana, cocaine and psychedelic mushrooms, which could disqualify the Duke from attaining United States citizenship.
“It wasn’t much fun, and it didn’t make me particularly happy, as it seemed to make everyone around me… but it did make me feel different, and that was the main goal,” the Prince wrote.
While the Biden administration has declined to comment on Harry’s visa, royal insider Tom Quinn claimed Harry has “deep regrets” over the passages about drug use amid the possibility that Donald Trump could return to the White House.

“(Harry and Meghan) have taken legal advice because they’re seriously worried that if Donald Trump wins the next election Harry’s visa may be revoked,” he told the Mirror newspaper on Wednesday.
“Trump has insisted that if Harry is found to have lied on his visa application about his admitted drug taking, he could be asked to leave the country.”
In March, Trump sat down with GB News host Nigel Farage and revealed he “may take appropriate action” to deport Harry if he wins the Presidential election in November.
“We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action,” he warned.
In 2014, British celebrity chef Nigella Lawson was barred from boarding a flight to the US after she confessed to using cocaine during an unrelated court case, although the ban was later lifted on appeal.
Mr Quinn also claimed that at the time of writing Spare, Harry felt untouchable as a royal family member and naively assumed laws about drug use “don’t apply” to him.
“Harry initially thought this couldn’t possibly happen to him as the normal rules don’t apply to a Royal Prince, but he is increasingly realising that in the United States being a Prince doesn’t actually count for very much,” he said.
“But one thing is for sure Harry deeply regrets ever making his drug-taking public. It never occurred to him that this might end up threatening his whole life plan.”
