New Loewe TVs to Use Samsung’s Tizen OS Platform

Must read

Samsung’s Tizen OS smart TV platform will be embedded in the stellar TV from German manufacturer Loewe, marking another growth period for Samsung’s Tizen Licensing Program in Europe.

Loewe, based in Germany and known for its luxury and high-end TVs mainly in Europe, has chosen Tizen OS to enhance the viewing experience of its stellar TV models.

Tizen OS, based on the newest 2024 Tizen licensing platform, offers a wealth of content and service options, making it the ideal choice for Loewe’s discerning customer base, Samsung says.

Loewe is known for incorporating premium and unique materials, such as stone and concrete back panels. Its new TV, stellar, boasts 4K resolution and HRD 10+ technology, and features a minimalist frame with a concrete rear panel.

With Tizen OS, stellar users have access to a wide variety of features, including Samsung TV plus for free channels and on-demand content, Gaming Hub for access to top gaming platforms and services, and SmartThings to control smart home devices.

“This new collaboration with Loewe ensures that its latest luxury TV, stellar, will exceed expectations with the high-end experiences it brings to consumers,” said YS Kim, executive vice president and head of the service business team for Samsung’s visual display business.

“It’s also more momentum for Tizen OS, which has established itself as the software platform of choice for premium TVs. Moving forward, we will continue to push the boundaries of how users interact with their TVs.”

According to Samsung, Tizen OS powers 270 million Samsung Smart TVs outside of this licensing partnership program, and offers an intuitive interface that minimizes the steps required for navigation and customization.

The smart TV platform allows users to stream their favorite content and play thousands of games — all on one screen — and every aspect of the TV experience is personalized and secured by Samsung Knox, the company’s security and management framework.
