The eagerly anticipated Logan Reserve Shopping Village officially opened on June 12, bringing a new level of convenience and choice to the residents of Logan Reserve and surrounding areas.
Located at the intersection of Chambers Flat Road and Park Ridge Road, this modern shopping destination promises to cater to the growing community’s needs.
The centrepiece of the new shopping village is a spacious 4,000 square meter Woolworths supermarket, equipped with Direct to Boot drive-thru facilities for ultimate convenience.
The supermarket offers an extensive range of fresh produce, Australian meat, and local seafood, ensuring customers access high-quality products.
Additionally, there are dedicated areas to handle the increasing demand for online orders, including eight drive-thru bays for easy pick-up.
Woolworths State Development Manager Chris Sheehan expressed his enthusiasm for the new development.
“The development of Logan Reserve Shopping Village has been an important part of our ongoing investment in high-quality shopping experiences for Logan City Council residents,” Sheehan said.
“We’re delighted to celebrate the centre’s official opening, delivering a high-quality and convenient shopping destination that meets the needs of the growing and evolving local community.”
The shopping village also features over a dozen retailers, including BWS, Discount Chemist Outlet, specialty retailers, food operators, a 24-hour gym, and a medical centre, providing residents a comprehensive shopping and lifestyle experience.
Leading the Woolworths team is Store Manager Sally Morrow, who brings over 25 years of experience with the company.
Sally has been instrumental in preparing the store for its grand opening and is excited to offer a new shopping experience to the community.
“A huge part of the journey to open our new store has been welcoming over 60 new team members from across the local community, as well as 50 team members who have moved from other stores,” Sally said.
Logan Mayor Jon Raven attended the opening and highlighted the community’s anticipation for the new shopping centre.
“In 2019 when I was door knocking just up the road from here in Crestmead, people were asking for this shopping centre then,” Cr Raven said.
“The biggest thing people were asking for is more convenience, more facilities that were close to their homes, so they didn’t have to drive to the shops in Marsden and Park Ridge.”
With Park Ridge, Chambers Flat, and Logan Reserve being among the fastest-growing suburbs in the nation, the Logan Reserve Shopping Village is set to become a vital hub for the community.
