Renewed concerns have risen over Prince Andrew’s icy relationship with the King, as reports emerge of his controversial new plan for the Royal Lodge.
‘To Di For’ podcast host Kinsey Schofield says Princess Kate and the royal children were in “high spirits” at the Royal Ascot.
“Even the way that the children were engaging with each other, it was very uplifting to see that they were in high spirits,” she told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.
“I think this is another great indication that things are improving.”
Andrew has lived in the home since 2004 under a 75-year lease from the Crown Estate and shares the massive property with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

The tenancy of the Royal Lodge is reportedly causing an icy rift to form between the monarch and his disgraced brother.
While sources close to the King said the monarch is willing to pay for his brother and sister-in-law to live comfortably, the level of funding needs to be appropriate, and he wants the Yorks to move to the smaller Frogmore Cottage.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, when in the UK, lived at Frogmore Cottage previously.
The Duke of York is planning to bestow his royal residence to his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, upon his passing, to use for the remainder of the lease – which currently has 54 years remaining on it.

Last week GB News’ Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker said Prince Andrew was understood to be almost fully funded by King Charles.
“Because he’s not a working member of the Royal Family, he is not getting any money from a sovereign grant, we believe he may have got some kind of inheritance from the late Queen, but it’s not thought to be very much,” Walker said.
“He has a very modest naval pension. The rest of it is at the moment being funded by King Charles.”

There have been recent discussions about the King’s intentions with the royal lodge, with multiple sources close to Prince Andrew suggesting the English monarch is making preparations for his wife Camilla should the cancer-stricken monarch die.
Daily Mail Editor Richard Eden last week revealed friends of the Yorks said Charles may in fact be ensuring Royal Lodge remains free and worthy for Queen Camilla to reside, in the event the monarch dies.
“More than one friend of the Yorks has suggested the same intriguing answer to me: could it be that the King sees Royal Lodge as a potential future home for Queen Camilla?” he wrote in the publication.
“Like anyone who has been seriously ill, the King is said to have been thinking about every possible contingency. Who wouldn’t?
“He will know that, were his wife to outlive him, she would be left with a somewhat uncertain status.”

While Charles will have asserted his wishes for his wife before he dies, William, the reigning monarch in this scenario, will have the final say over Camilla’s role.
Furthermore, Princess Kate will also have unequivocal sway, as the queen consort and mother to the future monarch, Prince George.
