Buggs embroiled in legal troubles

This announcement comes in the wake of Buggs’ latest legal troubles, including an arrest this past weekend for domestic violence burglary.

Buggs, a former standout at the University of Alabama, has faced a series of allegations over the past few weeks.

He was released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Monday morning after a mandatory hold for the domestic violence charges.

Buggs has been embroiled in a prolonged battle with the city of Tuscaloosa and its police department, facing accusations that range from animal cruelty to pointing a gun at a woman, and shoving TPD Chief Brent Blankley.

Buggs has consistently denied these allegations, claiming that the city and its police department have targeted him to force the closure of his Greensboro Avenue establishment.

Buggs was part of Chiefs’ practice squad

The former Alabama star, who began his football career at Mississippi Coast Community College, has had a notable trajectory in both college and professional football.

He played a crucial role in Alabama’s 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship victory and was recognized with All-SEC honors.

Buggs was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, later playing for the Detroit Lions and briefly for the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.

Kings Hookah Lounge has been a focal point in Buggs’ off-field endeavors.

However, the escalating legal issues and the recent arrest have led to the decision to close the lounge and surrender the business license.

According to reports, this license would likely have been revoked at a hearing scheduled for next week.
