With less than two weeks to go before Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic has returned to the practice court following his recent meniscus surgery.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion posted video to his Instagram of him stretching on grass and then serving on a hardcourt.
Veteran tennis writer Craig Shapiro posted Wednesday on social media on that Djokovic is “pushing hard to play Wimbledon,” which begins July 1.
It was announced this week that Djokovic will compete in the Paris Olympics beginning July 27.
“I’m going to do my best to be healthy and fit to return to the court as soon as possible,” the 37-year-old Serb Tweeted after his surgery on June 6. “My love for this sport is strong and the desire to compete at the highest level is what keeps me going.”
Djokovic won three of the four majors in 2023, losing only in the Wimbledon final to Carlos Alcaraz. He has yet to win a tournament this year and lost his No. 1 ranking to Italy’s Jannik Sinner.
