NRL legend Darius Boyd and wife Kayla have listed their latest dream home build.
The glamorous property in Brisbane’s inner north was completed late last year, following three prior multimillion-dollar home flips since the former Broncos captain retired.
Boyd called time on his 15-year footy career in 2020, having played 336 NRL matches for the Broncos, Newcastle and St George Illawarra, along with 28 State of Origin games for the Maroons, and 23 Aussie Tests.
Ms Boyd took the reins on each of their home projects, leading interior and styling decisions and sourcing materials.
Their luxury double-storey home in the rising market of Grange, named Mala, will go under the hammer on August 3 as the couple prepares to welcome their fourth child, a baby brother for daughters, Willow, Romi, and Gia.
It is marketed by Place Ascot director Drew Davies.
The Boyds paid $1.6m to secure the 969 sqm parcel in 2022 and knocked down the existing post-war home to make way for an architecturally designed new build.
“A property this private on such a large elevated block on Kedron Brook is always going to be extremely sought after,” Mr Davies said.
“This is the third property that Kayla and Darius have built in Brisbane and, like their previous two, I would expect this home to also attract huge attention.
“No expense has been spared to create a functional space blending luxury and timeless style, and given its location in a quiet cul-de-sac this is undoubtedly one of the finest family homes to come to market in the area this year,” he said.
