NRL Team Lists: Round 16
Dolphins v Storm, Friday 8.00pm at Suncorp Stadium
Dolphins: Trai Fuller again steps into Maroons star Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow’s shoes at fullback while Jesse Bromwich returns from a rib injury at prop for Felise Kaufusi, who has returned to the Origin arena for the first time since 2022. Mid-season recruit Tevita Pangai jnr makes his club debut off the bench.
Storm: Fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen returns after missing five games with an ankle injury so Sualauvi Faaalogo shifts to the wing, filling the hole left by Xavier Coates’ absence on Origin duty. Will Warbrick is back from a hip flexor injury on the other wing so Grant Anderson shifts to centre and Dean Ieremia drops to the reserves. Bronson Garlick comes in at hooker for Maroons No.9 Harry Grant. Trent Loiero is named at lock and will be released from Queensland camp for Friday’s game.
Titans v Warriors, Saturday 3.00pm at Cbus Super Stadium
Titans: David Fifita returns after missing Round 15 with an ankle injury in a boost for the Titans. Keenan Palasia starts at prop with Moeaki Fotuaika on Origjn duty with the Maroons. Klese Haas will miss the game due to injury. Joe Stimson and Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui are the new faces on the bench.
Warriors: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck returns from a hamstring injury in the centres and Ed Kosi comes in on the wing for Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (suspended). With Kurt Capewell called up by the Maroons and Mitch Barnett in Blues camp, Dylan Walker moves to the second row and Tohu Harris starts at lock. Tom Ale and Jacob Laban join the bench. Rocco Berry is sidelined with a shoulder injury.
Roosters v Bulldogs, Saturday 5.30pm at Industree Group Stadium, Gosford
Roosters: The absence of Lindsay Collins, Angus Crichton, Spencer Leniu and Connor Watson on Origin duty and a hamstring injury to Michael Jennings sees a new-look Roosters in Round 16. Dom Young returns from a hamstring injury on the wing so Fetalaiga Pauga moves into the centres while Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Brandon Smith and Terrell May make up a new front row. Nat Butcher joins the starting side in the back row while Blake Steep, Sitili Tupouniua and Siua Wong are the new faces on the bench.
Bulldogs: Jacob Kiraz shifts to the centres to replace skipper Stephen Crichton (Origin duty) and Jeral Skelton comes in on the wing for his first NRL action of the season. Josh Curran returns from HIA protocols to start in the back row with Jacob Preston sidelined by a foot injury. Jake Turpin and Poasa Faamausili join the bench with Kurt Mann out. Josh Addo-Carr will miss the game after suffering a head knock in Round 14. Viliame Kikau is listed in the reserves as he looks to push for a return from finger surgery.
Rabbitohs v Sea Eagles, Saturday 7.35pm at Accor Stadium
Rabbitohs: Jye Gray makes his return from an ankle injury, taking over at fullback from Blues rep Latrell Mitchell. With Cameron Murray also on Origin duty teenage back-rower Liam Le Blanc joins the 17 for his NRL debut. Jai Arrow has been named to play despite suffering a rib injury against the Broncos.
Sea Eagles: With Daly Cherry-Evans, Jake Trbojevic and Haumole Olakau’atu on Origin duty the Sea Eagles have Karl Lawton at halfback and Nathan Brown and Corey Waddell starting in the back row. The loss of Taniela Paseka (thumb) and Reuben Garrick (head knock) sees Ethan Bullemor start at prop and former Titan Aaron Schoupp come in at centre. Four new faces on the bench for Anthony Seibold with Gordon Chan Kum Tong, Aitasi James and Ben Condon joined by debutant Caleb Navale.
Wests Tigers v Raiders, Sunday 4.05pm at Campbelltown Sports Stadium
Wests Tigers: Young gun Lachlan Galvin returns from a hand injury at five-eighth so Aidan Sezer moves to halfback, Api Koroisau goes back to hooker and Tallyn de Silva goes to the bench. After making his comeback from a knee reconstruction via NSW Cup last week star playmaker Adam Doueihi is listed among the reserves as he chases an NRL return. Kit Laulilii will play his first game of the season off the bench after making his NRL debut in Round 27 last year.
Raiders: Just the one change to the side that lost to the Cowboys with Zac Woolford joining the bench in place of Tom Starling (concussion). Still no sign of Corey Horsburgh, who hasn’t played since Round 5 due to a groin injury.
