Influencers facing off in professional sports continues to become more popular by the day and one of the last sports to get involved is golf, but now it’s arrived to the party as Paige Spiranac agrees to play Hailey Ostrom in a one-to-one match.
It’s a big moment for the Instagram golf community and will be something they pen into the calendar as the two talented blondes take to the green to find out who has the best mastery of the putter after Spiranac agreed the challenge.
Paige Spiranac bends over to hit the impossible golf shot
Spiranac is regarded as the biggest golf influencer in the world, and one of the biggest in American Sports, and Ostrom is cut from the same cloth as she commands a very considerable fanbase herself.
“Let’s do it,” was Spiranac‘s response and war cry when Ostrom called her out by saying, “Hey [Paige Spiranac] it sounds like everyone wants to see us play. What do you say?”
The pair are both experienced golfers although Ostrom has a slight edge here by managing to go pro whilst Spiranac tried, but failed, to qualify for the Ladies Professional Golfer Association before switching her focus to modelling and coaching.
The 31-year-old Spiranac boasts an astonishing four million followers on Instagram with an extra 1.5 million fans on TikTok to bolster her numbers, whilst Ostrom‘s combined count is around 1.5 million devotees.
Ostrom said that her best score in scratch golf was a 69 and she’s capable of driving for 250 yards, which is the same distance Spiranac is also capable of meaning we could see the game all come down to who has the most control around the hole.
