Parents of When Calls the Heart’s Mamie Laverock share update

The family of When Calls the Heart star Mamie Laverock have shared a promising update with fans as she fights for life in hospital.

Her parents Nicole and Rob updated their crowd-funding page for the 19-year-old and said she is now ”doing well” and they “couldn’t be happier”.

It comes after they shared that Laverock was on life support after an incident on May 26, where she was “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories”.

Her parents said on the page that she had “extensive surgeries” but is ”doing well”.

“Mamie is out of her extensive surgeries and the doctors say she is doing well. It’s impossible for us to be happier. Thank you all for your support,” they said.

A crowd-funding page was set up for Laverock, 19, after she was first hospitalised on May 11.

Her parents recently shared that she was on life support after an incident on May 26.

“She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” the page read.

“We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”

She was first hospitalised in Winnipeg, Canada, following a “medical emergency” before being transferred to a hospital in Vancouver.
