SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women’s basketball team welcomes an addition to its 2024-25 roster. Kaz Parks has signed her national letter of intent to play for the Vikings in 2024-25.

Vogel on Parks: “We’re super excited to add a player of Kaz’ talent this late in the recruiting process. Kaz adds a lot of experience at the guard spot for us. She can play both point guard and wing spots. Kaz is a great 3-point shooter that scored close to double digits in both her previous college basketball seasons. Kaz is also a Dean’s List student that fits our culture perfectly.”
Previous School: As a sophomore, Parks averaged 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 23 games, including 21 starts. She was named to the Department of Athletics’ Dean’s List in the Fall of her freshman season before averaging 9.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 22 games, all starts. She averaged 36.5 minutes per game and scored double digits in ten games including 21 points twice (vs. Cal Poly Pomona, Jan. 15 and at Cal State Monterey Bay, Feb. 3).
High School: Parks graduated from Skyview High School where she averaged 10.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game during her senior season, She was a first team All-League honoree along with being named to the First Team All-Region. Parks helped lead Skyview to a league championship while being the recipient of the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Personal: Kaz is the daughter of Devin Parks and Joy Sinviengxay. She plans to major in nursing while at Augustana.
