Parts of WA still face the possibility of isolated flooding

Must read

The Midwest Gascoyne and Pilbara regions still face the possibility of isolated flooding over the coming days, with heavy rainfall expected in some areas over the next 24-48 hours.

People in parts of the Midwest Gascoyne and Pilbara in the Onlslow coast, Lyndon-Minilya Rivers, Gascoyne River and Wooramel River catchments are being told to take action now and prepare for flooding.

“There is no immediate danger but you need to keep up to date in case the situation changes,” the latest DFES warning reads.

Locals in the affected areas should prepare to move cars, equipment, livestock and pets early so they are not caught in floodwaters.

“Prepare an emergency kit including enough canned food and water to last for five to seven days, as well as clothing, important documents such as identification and insurance papers, medication, cash and a battery-operated radio to listen to warnings,” DFES says.
