Perth driver lucky to be alive after Ferrari flips onto roof

The driver of a luxury car and his passenger are lucky to be alive after flipping a Ferrari on its roof along a busy road.

Police rushed to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Orrong Road and Wright Street in Carlisle, about 8km from the Perth CBD, just after 1pm on Saturday.

The bright yellow Ferrari suffered extensive damage after the crash, which left it upside down and blocking a lane of traffic along Orrong Road.

Paramedics were called to the scene but then stood down after receiving information the driver and his passenger — both men aged in their 30s — had escaped unscathed.
