Must read

Get your wet weather gear ready as heavy rains begin to brew before bucketing down on Perth and the south west later this week.

Senior Meteorologist Angus Hines said the wet weather will makes its way to the region as early as Thursday morning.

“A significant cold front will be approaching Perth on Thursday, reaching land during the morning and reaching the city during the evening then on Friday continuing to move north and eastwards,” he said.

But that’s not the last of the wet weather.

More chilly conditions and rainfall are set to continue into the weekend, with a whopping 40mm of rain set to drench some areas.

“In terms of rainfall, between Wednesday and Friday we could see 20-40mm in many areas,” Mr Hines said.

My Hines said the bout of heavy rain could also come with a wild thunderstorm and strong winds.
