The Stockport County Players Association will be participating in a cricket match this month, to raise funds for a local Cricket Club.
Some County fans will remember what used to be an annual cricket match involving former players, a tradition held since the 1980s.
These events have always been extremely popular with supporters and players alike in the past, and have previously raised tens of thousand of pounds for local cricket and numerous charities.
The event will see a number of former players and staff go up against Offerton Cricket Club on Sunday 28th July, with the match set to start at 2pm. The venue is Offerton Cricket Club, The Paddock Woodlands Drive, Stockport, SK2 5BJ.
A number of former County players will be present on the day, including Liam Dickinson, Tony Barras, Oshor Williams, Paul Turnbull, Tony Hancock, Paul Jones and Alan Ogley, with more names to be confirmed in due course!
Supporters are all welcome to join us on the day at Offerton Cricket Club, where there will also be a bar and barbeque, making it a real family event.
We hope you can join us on the day and help make it a memorable day for everyone involved.
