A caravan and a car have been destroyed by a fire that later spread to the adjacent home, with the blaze being treated as suspicious.
Three QFES crews rushed to the property on Kokoda Street in Darra, 20km southwest of Brisbane‘s CBD, just after 2am on Wednesday.
Firefighters battled three separate fires for at least 30 minutes after flames from the car spread to the caravan and then to the home.
Nearby residents said they were woken by a series of explosions.
‘Challenges that we faced were multiple exposures, being with the car and the van on fire and also a forklift in the nearby vicinity,’ a firefighter at the scene said.
‘There were also multiple chemicals stored around the premises.’
The fire is being treated as suspicious and a crime scene has been established.
No injuries have been reported.
The home has been taped-off by police, who have interviewed nearby residents.
Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist investigations has been urged to contact police.
