Police have been left “shaking their heads” after finding two young children in the back of car that crashed at a Melbourne intersection.
Emergency services were called to reports that a Mitsubishi Wagon had crashed into another car while turning onto Boundary Rd in Dromana about 5.30pm.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 41-year-old woman, allegedly blew almost five times the legal alcohol limit, returning a reading of 0.234, according to police.
To make matters worse, there were two children aged under 10 in the car.

The collision resulted in only minor injuries, but officers said it could have been much worse.
The driver will be charged on summons with exceeding prescribed concentration of alcohol and will immediately lose her licence.
