US popstar Pink has devastated fans by pulling the plug on an upcoming concert saying she was “unable to continue” due to health reasons.
The 44-year-old is currently touring Europe and was forced to cancel her concert in Switzerland’s capital city Bern just hours after falling ill.
Pink, birth name Alecia Moore, was ordered not to go ahead with the show by her medical team and announced the unfortunate news to social media on Tuesday.
“I am so sorry that I have had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday,” she said in an Instagram post.
“I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow.
“I was looking forward to being with you and making memories with you and sharing our show with you and am so disappointed that we have to cancel.”
All tickets will be refunded.
“Sending love and health to you all, and I really hope to see you again soon,” she added.
The tour promoter said in a statement: “Due to illness and after a thorough medical examination, the performance has to be cancelled on doctor’s advice.
“Unfortunately, the concert cannot be rescheduled due to the current tour planning.
“We deeply regret the circumstances and thank you for your understanding. We wish Pink a speedy and full recovery.”
The star’s next concert is scheduled for Copenhagen this weekend.
Fans wished their idol a speedy recovery.
“We know you would never cancel a show unless it was absolutely necessary,” one fan said.
Another said: “Get well soon, health always comes first”.
However, some were more upset that the show had been pulled rather than rescheduled.
“So so disappointed,” one person said.
Another added that it “would be nice to have a replacement date, even in a year”.
Her European leg comes after the mother-of-two’s concerts in Australia.
She played to huge crowds in Perth at Optus Stadium across two nights in March.
