A primary school student has been rushed to hospital after his leg became impaled on the base of a fence.
Emergency services were called to Annandale North Public School, on Johnston Street, in Sydney‘s inner west, at 10am on Tuesday.
The male student was found stuck with his lower leg impaled under the fence.
Paramedics freed the boy and he was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the boy fell over and his leg became hooked on the fence.
Daily Mail has contacted the NSW Department of Education for comment.
