Prince William’s nod to Kate after solo appearance at society wedding

Must read

Prince William was flying solo at the society event of the year, his longtime friend Hugh Grosvenor‘s wedding to Olivia Henson.

Though it was known for a while that his wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales would not be accompanying him on this occasion, it didn’t stop onlookers from missing her.

According to Hello Magazine, when the royal was waiting to leave the event, someone from the crowd called out to him.

“Best wishes to Kate!” they shouted out to William, who first paused, then acknowledged the sentiment with a nod and a wave, before presumably heading off to continue the wedding festivities at Eaton Hall on Grosvenor’s estate.

The Princess of Wales has not been seen at a public event in almost six months after telling the public that she would be resting after undergoing abdominal surgery.

It was later revealed after much speculation that she was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

William also did not bring along his three children, not even his eldest Prince George, who is the godson of Grosvenor.

One other royal who did attend the festivities was Princess Eugenie, William’s cousin. The royal was photographed smiling, wearing a Joseph Dubois asymmetric knitted and pleated satin-crepe dress.
