Brock Bowers, Tight End, Georgia
Drafted: Round 1, No. 13 overall
The highest drafted tight end in the 2024 draft was one of the more obvious players to be named in these projections. He’s the only two-time John Mackey Award winner in college football history with two national championships also on his resumé. The Raiders went best player available with their first-round pick, seeing the possibility of Bowers becoming an overall weapon for the offense that can be lined up in multiple spots.
“Bowers will be a matchup problem for most linebackers and safeties with his quickness, strength and strong hands, giving Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers a foil to stretch defenses vertically and horizontally,” Reuter wrote. “While it’s not the strongest part of his game, Bowers should also earn respect for his run blocking on the outside.”
