Schumacher announces he is gay
Six-time grand prix winner Ralf Schumacher has announced that he is gay, the highest-profile F1 driver to do so.
The former Jordan, Williams and Toyota racer came out in an Instagram post, with son David immediately posting his support.
Schumacher, who left F1 at the end of 2007, remains a familiar fixture in the paddock, owing to his work with Sky Sports Germany as a broadcaster and pundit.

Red Bull ‘gang’
The Goodwood Festival of Speed was a celebration of 20 years of Red Bull, with the RB17 hypercar also unveiled by Adrian Newey and Christian Horner.
Some of the most iconic Red Bull cars were driven up the hill, including the RB1, RB6, RB16B and RB18 by some of the team’s biggest drivers, including Mark Webber and Max Verstappen.
As Horner put it, it was ‘getting the gang’ back together.

Audi’s new partner
Audi is continuing to prepare for its F1 arrival in 2026, having already signed Nico Hulkenberg as a driver.
Talks remain ongoing as to who will join the German, but a key technical partner has agreed to come aboard and support Audi’s first attempt at F1.
