The Civic Stakes program at Randwick was postponed at 8am on Saturday.
Chief Steward Steve Railton announced the meeting wouldn’t proceed due to an unsafe surface caused overnight and continuing rain.
“The track is not suitable to race,” Railton said.
“We had half an inch overnight, an equal amount this morning and it is still raining.
“The rain is leaving the track in a state where we can’t be satisfied that we could safely conduct races.

“I think to bring people here to race is going to waste everybody’s time.”
At this stage it is not know if any races, including the $200,000 Listed Civic Stakes, will be rescheduled.
Two weeks ago Racing NSW ran the Lord Mayor’s Cup at Randwick on an 11 race card after it was postponed due to weather seven days prior.
The two remaining TAB meetings in NSW on Saturday are at Newcastle and Queanbeyan.
