Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, July 13th 2024

Race 3: TAB Highway Plate Class 3 1600m – 12:20pm (AEST)

(1) Cranky Harry $2.00: 4YO gelding who comes down from QLD and looks a talent. Won nicely two runs back where he was held up until the 200m before launching late to score nicely. Next up run was unlucky not to win, got caught inside and when clear room came, he was charging home making it into a photo finish. He gets a wider draw here which may help with getting him into a better spot during transit and require less luck getting out. Tends to jump nicely, so expect him to be up on the speed here and gets a top booking of Nash RAWILLER in the saddle. Rock hard fit now for this fourth up run and looks ready for the mile. Goes well.

(4) Cenotes $21/$4.40: Roughie of the field who does relish the 1600m trip, but tends to get back in the field, so will need a good run from there on the heavy track, but a chance at odds.

(6) Perovic $7.50/$2.30: 3YO out of Pierro who won nicely last start at Lismore. Untested on the heavy, but early market support suggests he is ready to back it up. Each way claims.

$2.00 (3 Units)

Race 8: Kanebridge BM88 1400m 3:20pm (AEST)

(2) Felix Majestic $17/$4.20: 4YO who gets back to 1400m today where he does his best work. First up he got too far back and never got into the race and the trip was not ideal. Has had a trial since which was pretty tidy. Draws wide, but likes to roll forward and maps to do so. Gets a 2kg claim engaged here and expect him to be in this for a long way with the others having to chase. Prefer him on the dry deck, but if they are struggling to run on in the early races, he looks a nice each way play here.

(5) Testator Silens $3.50: 6YO who boasts impressive stats and loves the weather effected tracks. Peaks fourth up here and looks ready for that win. Nash remains in the saddle and he will be in the finish. One to beat.

(3) War Eternal $3.90: Another one who likes the tough conditions and is rock hard fit. Draws a nice alley and loves this trip. Goes well.

Also Backing: (2) Felix Majestic E/W $17/$4.20 (0.5 Units)

(5) Testator Silens

$3.50 (2 Units)
