Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, July 17th 2024

Race 5: The Agency Real Estate BM72 1550m – 3:10pm (AEST)

(1) Nana’s Wish $3.90: 4YO mare who had been racing well prior to the last couple where she’s been average on the heavy tracks. She is still hard fit and gets back to 1550m where she is unbeaten. She also gets a better track condition this time round. Remains at the same class, but gets a 3kg claim engaged which puts her right in this here. Also maps well against the others here to ping to the front and dictate the race to her liking. Will be hard to catch if she jumps well.

(2) Star Impact $8.00/$2.40: 5YO mare who was very impressive winning over the mile last start in 68 grade. Rises in class now and needs to lump an extra 2kg, but worth thought off last starts win. Nash Rawiller to ride also adds confidence.

(5) She’s Unusual $4.40: Solid 4YO who doesn’t run a bad race. 5 starts and has always been in the quinella. Favourite last start over this trip/grade and wasn’t disgraced. Goes well on weather effected tracks and demands respect again.

(1) Nana’s Wish

$3.90 (1.5 Units)

Race 6: Astern at Darley BM72 1400m – 3:45pm (AEST)

(10) Nanshe $3.30: 4YO mare who won very nicely last start over this trip. She now rises in class, but remains at 1400m and gets top booking of James McDonald. She gets a nice draw in barrier 1 which should allow her to get a sit much closer in the run, but last start proved she is capable of running on either way. She also gets in well at the weights as a 69 rater here. Goes well.

(2) Little Cointreau $2.90: Honest 4YO who is going well this prep, but is yet to win over 1400m. Rock hard fit now and will once again be going close. Better on the dry tracks.

(7) Yasuke $7.50: 4YO gelding who gets back out to a more suitable distance. Better for last starts run and is worth thought at an each way price.

(10) Nanshe

$3.30 (2.5 Units)

Race 7: Headwater at Vinery Stud BM72 1550m – 4:20pm (AEST)

(1) Etna Rosso $6.50/$2.15: 4YO gelding who resumes today and is proven first up. Draws a sticky gate, but with some luck he can get midfield or up on pace to be able to map nicely against these others. Gets in nicely at the weights with a 3kg claim and expect a bold run first up. Each way all day.

(4) West Of Africa $4.20: J-Mac for Neasham who draws a nice alley and will be hard fit for this. Likes the soft track and will be around the mark here.

(9) State Of America $9.50: First up run over this trip and grade was brilliant from a wide draw at big odds, but has since struggled. Drops back to 1550m now and will only be fitter for the previous outings. Draws a better gate and must be respect again over this trip. Each way play.

(1) Etna Rosso E/W

$6.50/$2.15 (1 Unit)
